Stoage Shed Plans

Use plans to build a storage shed plans and keep your fire storage dry. Storing fire storage under a tarp or in the open is always a bad idea. When exposed to the elements, fire storage will get rained and snowed on and not burn as well. A tarp will hold moisture in and keep the fire storage from curing. It acts kind of like a greenhouse; if you have ever been in one you will find that they are quite humid. This trapped moisture keeps the moisture that is in the storage from evaporating.

Build a storage shed to cure and store your fire storage. This will help your storage breathe and dry more efficiently. Once your storage is dry a storage shed will protect it from the elements and keep it dry. Your storage will be ready to use whether it is snowing, rainy or a clear day. Having fire storage that is dry and ready to burn when you need it is invaluable.

Once you have made the decision to build a storage shed plans be sure to plan ahead. Place your storage shed in an easily accessible location. It should be easy to both fill with storage and get storage from when it's time to burn. Another good idea is to plan an overhang under which you can chop kindling. Lastly, be sure you build a storage shed that is big enough to hold the storage you will need for at least one season.

While it is possible to build a storage shed on your own as they are usually simple structures, I recommend using a good set of plans and step by step directions. If you have no building experience these will be a huge help. If you know what you are doing it will save you a lot of thinking. You will be able to simply follow the plan and build. If you have a materials list before you start it will save you several trips to the store which will result in a lot of time saved.
